Privacy

Short version: we collect very little and sell nothing.

No Accounts, No Ad Tracking

You don't sign up to use Pub Trivia Map. We don't run ads or ad trackers, and we don't sell or share data with advertisers.

Your Location

If you tap “Show tonight's trivia”, your browser asks before sharing your location. We round it to about 100 meters, use it once to find nearby games, and don't store it. If you say no, we may use the rough city your internet connection comes from, which our host provides. That isn't stored either.

When You Submit or Report a Listing

We keep what you typed so we can review it. Email is optional and only used to ask follow-up questions.
To stop spam we keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address (a salted hash), not the address itself. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the form for bots.

Analytics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, and Google Analytics, which does. Both tell us which pages get used and roughly where visitors come from, not who you are. We don't use either for ads. You can block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker, and the site works the same.

Stored on Your Device

Google Analytics sets a few cookies (named _ga) to tell a new visit from a returning one. Apart from those, we don't set cookies or save anything in your browser's storage.

Questions or Deletion

Want a submission or your email removed? Contact us (contact address coming soon) and we'll take care of it.
